I'm sure a few of you have come across card shops on other forums, yeah?
Well I think it's time Yaoi-Haven has a fully featured card shop of its own!

It took a bit to setup, but now everyone can purchase their favorite cards with Points gained from Posting on the forums. The advantages of cards other than just.. having them.. is to show how much you've put into the growth of this forum, aswell as showing you enjoy posting enough to get the extremely rare 'Limited Edition' Cards.




The card shop is based on 6 different catagories for now, and they are as follows:

• Beginner Cards - Cheaper cards for the new to intermediate members.
• Intermediate Cards - Mid-Priced cards for the intermediate to advanced members.
• Advanced Cards - More Expensive cards for the advanced members.
• Pets - Mascot cards based on well known animal-like characters from animes.
• Free Cards - Free cards for everyone to enjoy!
• Limited Edition - These cards will never have more than 5 in stock at a time, and will not be restocked at intervals like all the other catagories. Once they're gone, they're probly gone for good, so be quick!

All main catagories (excluding the limited edition) will be restocked once a month, so if they go out of stock before the restock period, you'll have to wait.

Depending on how popular this section becomes, the catagories might be rearranged by card level, which will result in both easier location of specific cards, and more cards added to the shop. Feel free to post your thoughts on rearranging into levels.

Now I bet you're all wondering how to get points, yeah?
Well.. Here's a brief description of 'what gets you what' here.




These numbers are based on normal Members, values may be different for higher ranks.

• Bank - An easy way to gain points is to use the Bank Savings Account system, everyday you'll gain 1% interest on your current savings account balance.
• Register - 100 Points
• Referrals - 2000 Everytime a user refers someone to join, that user gets 2000 Points*
• New thread - 200 Points
• Rate a thread - 15 Points
• Post in a thread - 50 Points
• Owner of thread posting in own thread - 30 Points
• Post size multiplyer - 0.1 Points**
• Your thread viewed - 2 Points Everytime a user views your thread, you'll get 2 points - This does not count for the owner
• Your thread rated - 50 Points
• Your thread replied - 40 Points Everytime someone posts in your thread, you'll get 40 Points
• Profile views - 5 Points Everytime someone other than you views your profile, you'll get 5 Points
• Poll Creation - 200 Points Include a poll in your thread and get a 200 point bonus!
• Vote on poll - 50 Points

*Registering user must include your username when registering for you to get the points.
**This means, for the length of your post, you get a multiplied points bonus. So if you post quality threads/posts you'll get a higher point bonus!

Now onto a bug in the card system.. Users cannot arrange their own cards that appear in their postbit.. It's a known bug and unfortunatly there is nothing I can do about it right now.

On the other hand, there is a working way to rearrange the 6 cards that appear in your posts, and I'll explain that as easy as I can below:

Now, let's say you have an Ichigo card in your 1st slot, and would like to replace it with a Ritsuka card.. To do this you'd first sell the Ichigo card, and then immediatly purchase the Ritsuka card, thus replacing the Ichigo card. Afterwards you can go ahead and repurchase the Ichigo card, and it shouldn't appear in your 6 slots.

Onto another example.. Let's say you already had 2 cards you wanted to switch.. So let's say you had a Naruto card in slot 1, but would like to replace it with a Sasuke card you had already purchased.. To do this, you'd first sell the Sasuke card, and then the Naruto card, afterwards you'd purchase the Sasuke card first, and then if you choose to do so, repurchase the Naruto card. The Sasuke card will then replace the Naruto cards position in your top..

I know this is a slightly complicated way to rearrange cards, but unfortunatly until a fix is done, their is no other way..

This method should also work with 2 cards, but I'd personally say it's best to try it one by one for easiest and less complicated results..

Note: This method only works for users with more than 6 cards in their deck.
Note 2: You don't have to worry about loosing points for selling the cards back, you get the exact price you paid for the card when selling it back to the shop.

Just be careful if the card isn't in stock, because you won't be able to complete the above explanation.

That's the basics of the card system.. It's actually a really easy system to use, so I'm sorry if by explaining it, I made it seem confusing.. I tend to do that..
