Never listened to any of their songs.
"Dies irae, dies illa, solvet saeclum, in favilla, teste David cum Sibylla.
Quantos tremor est futurus, quando judex est venturus, cuncta stricte discusurus."
My friend was way more obsessed with them then i was but i still like them and their music.

I am who I am
Some may call me a freak
some bizarre
but I am proud
If you dont like ME
I dont really care
God is dead
When someone fills your heart instead
Your soul's on fire all your needs
How can they call it blasphemy
Love is nature
So you're praying for salvation
For the hearts to understand
That is you
My new religion is you
They say this love is blasphemy
But my new religion is you
Faith is crime
When all you love is one the line
Your script's bleeding
Incomplete and blamed for immorality
Love is nature
So you're braking with tradition
In this godforsaken land
Blasphemy: Cinema Bizarre

I think their music is ok~ I like a couple of their songs. If the singer was really a woman, then I would f*ck her. ._.
My bff loves this group more than I do; she's a huge fanatic about them, and I respect her for that. ^^

Same here. I was never crazy about them but it's not like I hated them either, I appreciated a number of their songs. In fact I even went to one of their concerts very close by right in the middle of the hype with a cousin. It was actually a lot of fun although I probably would have been crushed to death down in the pit.
I think what ultimately did it for them wasn't so much their music being good or not (objectively they were good musicians for their age and Bill wrote his own songs) but the laughably hysterical fangirls and the grossness of the hype surrounding the band. I once recall seeing a girl on TV crying to her mom on the phone after a concert because "Bill took the present I made him, and he touched my hand, and he said "Danke schön!" It's the most beautiful day of my life! T_T"
More seriously, what I do respect the band a lot for, though, is making the German language popular in France again. When I started in 6th grade, I was one of the few who picked German as first language despite the usual stereotypes, and when I got to highschool, suddenly middle schools all across the country were scrambling to recruit more German teachers to face the demand of 14 year olds who wanted to understand what their heroes were singing; even when they published English versions of their songs, these didn't click as well as the German versions. Mind you this was 5 years ago, things are more balanced now. ^^
"Do you honestly think I would ask of you you to keep your legs crossed for so long-? I know I'll be out of the picture, I won't fight it. But all I ask of you is that wherever you go, whoever you meet, you co me back to me. Nothing more, nothing less."
