Internet Relationships

It has come to my attention the severity in which internet relationships are taken. Please help me to understand this [cause it has been on my mind for a while now] the so-called internet relationship... what is the point? I understand having a person online that you can talk to every once in a while, but being in a "serious" commited relationship?

I mean I understand if that person is in the same city or MAYBE the same state, close by enough so that some kind of communication can be had besides phone or internet. But it kinda irks me when people [both people I know and complete strangers] take this internet thing way too seriously. In most cases its llike they talk to them and chat sometimes but they've never seen this person in real life once. The internet can be very misleadng... and i don't think its smart to decide after while of conversation with a person that you have completely fallen in love with them.

Thats how bad things happen to people when you portray yourslef as such. One person may be serious about the whole relationship and the other may be only stringing them along. I've seen it happen... im pretty sure we all have and although our experiences may be different, its basically the same thing that happens over and over again. And then other people suffer for it, drama increses and the next thing you know no one is talking to anyone because he/she did this to her/him because he/she said this and that to him/her, or did this with them.... it's irritating...

Internet friendships are more undestandable... in a way... but you have to remember that not everyone can be trusted. I'm not saying that anyone on here are that way [hopefully] honestly i trust most of the people [to some extent] because I've known them for the past year.

For example [not including the losers here i know from school ]: Cookie, Pup-chan, Hinata-chan, Goldie, Ariana, Bobo-chan [kinomoto], Monkey [even tho he not remember me sometimes ], Yuki, sasunaru_is_love, emany [before he passed] and many others. All of them I concider FRIENDS good or bad doesnt matter >:3. Relationships are good to build but it depends greatly on the people you try to bond with... It's never good to take an internet relationship seriously, unless you know that person personally.

When your dating online it's not even like your even dating, Oh does *kisses some random person* mean they really like you when they don't even know the real you? Or "I love you hun" mean anything? I mean you could be cheating on the person online with someone in real life.. I learned that the hard way.. now I only date IRL... unless I meet the person irl.. but still can't trust em..

Hmmm... are you talking about falling in love with someone you know online, or just having them as friends? Because there is absolutely nothing wrong with the latter.

Falling in love, though...

It may suck, but humans are physical creatures. You can have a certain amount of trust in someone, but it's hard (not impossible!) to really, really, be deeply in love with someone if you can't place your hand on their cheek, give them a hug, or steal a kiss.

& Yup "Friendships" are always ok online if not.. we'd be all loners.. but dating online isn't even dating or loving.. now say you moved away from a lover for a job or something then hell yea you can say I love you.
