Favorite Shoujo Anime?

The term Shōjo, shojo, or shoujo manga (少女漫画 shōjo manga?) refers to manga marketed to a female audience roughly between the ages of 10 and 18. The name romanizes the Japanese 少女 (shōjo), literally: "young girl". Shōjo manga covers many subjects in a variety of narrative and graphic styles, from historical drama to science fiction often with a strong focus on human and romantic relationships and emotions. Strictly speaking, shōjo manga does not comprise a style or a genre per se, but rather indicates a target demographic. Examples include Cardcaptor Sakura, Fushigi Yuugi, and Romeo x Juliet.

I'll start off:

I'm not a big shoujo fan in general, but there are a few that I really like!

So far, my favorite shoujo is Fruits Basket. It's so adorable and very funny (although the manga is way better than the anime!). I love Shigure, Kyo, and Yuki~ <3 I'm a Yuki fan, by the way. xD

I also like The Wallflower. It's a comedy romance, and whenever I watch it I can't stop laughing. A group of guys is paid to turn this creepy gothic girl who loves horror movies and the dark into a beautiful young lady (and she can't help but get nosebleeds at the sight of their blinding beauty). At first the guys hate their job but they have no choice, but as they get to know her they start to like her. x3

Another shoujo I've been liking a lot recently is Kimi Ni Todoke (Reaching You). It's currently airing in Japan right now, so the series isn't finished yet, but so far it's awesome. It's really sweet and I love the comedy it has in it. It's all about a girl who looks really scary so everyone is frightened of her, but all she wants is to be friends with everybody, so she's always trying! She tries to be like Kazehaya-kun, who is a guy in class that everybody looks up to.
It reminds me a lot of The Wallflower, but she actually minus reverse harem, with more social interaction with everyone, and she actually is a cute person, unlike in the Wallflower where she is actually scary. <3

Oh, my fave shoujo anime is Blood+. It's about a vampire-like girl, who has lost memories of her past, & is raised by two human brothers. She kills other blood sucking monsters, such as her sister. Btw it has LOTSA blood.

prince of tennis - i will never get tired of this xDD If ya like tennis, you will looove this anime!! Although there are some strokes that are imposible to do xDD But i rlly recomend this one!

Shaman King - awesome anime, theres some blood and violence so if ya dont like those then i wouldnt recomend it. Also if ya dont like the whote idea of 'shamans' dont watch it.

Kuroshitsuj- I LOVE that anime&&the manga s obviously bettar than the anime but the anime is entretaining&&gives ya lots of yaoi fanservice (IT ISNT YAOI THO!) Sebastian is awesome *-*

Lol, I don't think you guys know what shoujo is! xD Maybe I should have clarified at the start of the thread... >.>; Oh well.

Shoujo anime is made with teenage girls in mind: usually they involve school drama, trying to get a boy, being pretty, etc. They guys tend to be pretty bishounen with big eyes and pretty lashes.

I'm not so sure if Blood + is made specifically for guys or girls, but it's definitely way too bloody to be shoujo (I'm pretty sure, at least). xD And is that a Blood + spoiler?! I hope not! If it is, it's a bad idea to tell someone to watch something and then tell them what happens (that's what spoiler tags are for)... =.=;

Hellsing is a seinen (for older men, 18-30), and Naruto is a shounen (boys in their early teens).

It also helps that I'm pretty sure the people that did its OP are Kalafina, and I love them, I've seen them live and they're awesome! xD
