Chapter One
The wind blew through the small city of Lethbridge, Alberta as the young Priest sat at a table in the Pennyhouse coffee shop; his eyes staring off into the distance as he thought. The small bell at the top of the door rung as a tall man with dark hair stepped into the coffee shop and looked around; he saw the Priest and immediately walked over.
"Mind if I sit down?" The tall man asked, his piercing yellow eyes staring at the younger brunette. The younger man looked up, his bright green eyes had a dazed look to them as the youth nodded.
"Go right ahead." He replied, his voice gentle and soothing to hurting ears. The older man sat. He leaned back in the chair, watching the youth carefully.
"So Priest, do you have a name?" He asked. The young man nodded.
"Shun." Shun smiled at the other and took a sip of his coffee.
"I'm Damion nice to meet you." Damion smiled back at the boy, Shun's looks astounding him. His black suit looked too mature for him to wear and that white collar was too big around his neck; making Shun look like a turtle--almost. Shun turned his green eyes onto Damion.
"Something wrong?" Shun asked, Damion shook his head.
"No nothing just thinking to myself that's all." He said, his eyes now out the window.
Damion sat there in silence for a few minutes, watching the city go on with its daily routine.
"I see you here every morning at the same time just watching this place; daydreaming. What is that about?" Damion asked looking back at Shun. Shun nodded and finished his coffee.
"Every morning after service I come here to think and every morning I can't think." His reply confused Damion.
"Can't think? What are you trying to think about?" Shun shrugged and ordered a refill.
"This and that, the service I left and what the preachers said. Practically anythig." Shun looked up at the other male and stared off for a moment.
"Shun are you allright?" Damion asked, waving his hand in front of Shun's face. Shun blinked and nodded.
"Yes, but may I ask you a question?" Damion nodded.
"Yeah sure."
"What religion are you from?" The question smacked Damion in the face as he looked stunned at the young Priest. He swallowed loudly and started to fidget. Should he know--.
"I don't have one." Damion said after a moment. He sighed relieved that he was able to save himself. Shun started to chuckle a moment.
"I know you're a Satanist." Shun said smiling. Damion looked at him shocked.
"You could say that--." Damion unzipped his leather coat to cool off. Shun chuckled a bit more.
"I had a very interesting conversation with a Satanist once about religions we both found out something new." Damion was still looking at Shun shocked.
"And you're okay with Satanists?" Damion was getting interested. Shun nodded.
"I do respect other religions but I do think that everyone should worship God." Shun looked at the clock and suddenly stood.
"What's wrong?" Damion asked, standing up as well. Shun went to go pay for his coffee and he walked out with Damion following.
"I'm sorry but I must be going back to church. The second service is about to start; thank you for talking to me." Shun called back as he walked off. The crisp air went through his suit and onto his hot skin as he walked. When he stopped, Damion put his leather on Shun's shoulders.
"I'll walk you."
For blocks they never spoke until a block away from the church when Damion broke the silence.
"I'm amazed at how leanient you are with other religions." Damion said as they walked in the crisp autumn air. Damion's long black hair played in the chill wind while they walked in silence once more as Shun thought about his answer.
"there's nothing I can really do about it; so I must be." Shun sighed, looking to his right at the pool. the large red "closed for winter" sign was almost ripped of of the fence around it as the leaves swirled in the large hole in the ground which served as the pool.
"You know, a few says of my religion and you'll see why things like this are happening." Damion said pointing at the broken down pool. Shun slapped Damion across the face.
"I may respect your rel;igion but I will never turn my back on God!" He cried. Shun took off the leather jacket from his shoulders and gave it back to Damion.
"Well at least you're true to your passions." Damion softly said as he watched Shun walk swiftly to his church doors. Shun stopped then turned around.
"Will I see you again?" He yelled. Damion smiled.
"I'll pick you up at noon." Damion yelled back. He then put his jacket back on and left as Shun went inside.
"I allready have him around my finger." He chuckled to himself as he walked off toward down town.
