I opened my eyes, I couldn’t see anything, it was so White…. Even more than my hair, even more than the cold, cold, cold snow, yet even if I couldn’t feel my body, something in my chest was hurting me, burning to get out, something called guilt at least that’s what humans called it like…what am I saying, I’m human too….but…I’m not so used to this “thing “called feelings…but why was I feeling guilty? I don’t regret having to fight HIM….

-“Him? Who...Is…him? “– said a tender female voice, she sounded so soft and delicate.

Suddenly all the white started clearing a bit, I realized I was lying on the ground, it was full of tiny flowers, colorful and beautiful flowers, I wanted to stand up but couldn’t, my feet weren’t responding.

-“Nii-san….Goldie… “

Suddenly the female voice giggled a bit. – “Goldie... that’s a good nickname. “ – She said, I still couldn’t see her, so I guessed I was talking to myself, to my feminine part maybe? I sighted.

-“Since when you call him like that? “ – She asked.

-“Since…..since always…. “- I felt how my cheeks turned red. - “Ever since I saw his picture, when we were told he was the target… “ -

Finally I could see something, it was a woman, she had a pink dress with a darker jacket, I couldn’t see her face, it was shining, her curls fell to the sides, she was kneeled looking at me, she suddenly put her hand in my forehead, it felt warm, and I sensed how it healed my very soul.

-“Nee- chan….am I dead...?” - I asked her a little bit scared of the answer I could get.

-“Do you think you’re dead? “ – She asked kindly.

-“I guess….am I? “ - asked with a childish tone.

-“Kadaj…… “She said my name almost singing it.

She smiled, she came closer to whisper something at my ear, and I felt her soft hair and the smell of it, Lavender…

-“Wake up, wake up…. He will be waiting for you, he will always wait for you… you deserve a second chance, just go where the wind tell you to…..so….Wake up…wake up or I’ll kick your ass, you’re on my spot.. “ -

-“Huh? “ - I opened my eyes, the sun was shining and all I could saw was the figure of a homeless old man, he seemed drunk and lacked of balance.

-“You’re on my damn spot kid! Get one yourself!” – As he finished saying this he burped and fell to the ground.

I was lying on a wooden ground I tried to cover the sun with my hands, I noticed something.

– “ No….gloves? “ – The leather gloves I once used were now long gone, I had my hands naked.

As I sat down I saw my hands with rather amaze. – “Am I….Alive? “- I saw the sky.
- “Nee-san… “– Suddenly I could hear the snoring coming from the old man, it totally ruined the moment.

I sighted. Kadaj…how are you getting out of this one??

As Kadaj stood up with a little bit of effort, he coughed a bit, he had his mouth dry, he was wearing his normal leather clothing, thought they were worn and ragged than normal.
He looked around he was in the middle of nowhere, it seemed like an abandoned station in the dessert, the wind was blowing, and the sun burning.

He brushed some hair out of his face to have a better view, where could he go now? What had happened to him? He remembered dying and then…the woman, now he is alive again, why? How? And for what purpose?

Great, Kadaj now all you have left is an old man and your swor….wait a minute, where is my sword…my precious Souba?!

He looked where he woke up, nothing, where could it be?!

-“Fuck, I’m damn cursed! First I’m killed by the Goldi….. I mean some stupid warrior, then a girl kicks me out of heaven, not even an old drunk likes me, and now my sword?! “– he shouted at the sky.

Seriously I need to stop calling him Goldie…he thought as he blushed a bit, he kicked a soda can with his hands on his pocket, then suddenly a powerful wind blew taking the can away, it started rolling toward nowhere and disappeared in the middle of the sand.

-“Huh? Now that I remember...” – He thought of the Woman’s last words.

-“So…am I supposed to follow it, Nee-Chan...?I hope you know what you’re doing “– he sighted and continued to follow the can.

Kadaj cleared his throat, man it was dry, he needed some water… and he needed it now! Finally the can stopped but……he was still in the middle of nowhere!

-“What?! That’s all? “– he looked both sides, nothing…not even a soul.

He looked at the sky again. – “Nee-Chan…really?! “ - He cursed as he kicked the can again, no wind anymore… he looked down and for some reason remembered Cloud, the last battle he had with him, those expressed feelings…..just clashing his sword with him was the closest he would ever be with Gold….Nii-San, that’s why Souba was so important for him, at least it carried scars made from Cloud’s sword.

He closed his eyes, remembering the yellow hair, and those Teal eyes like water ponds…… and suddenly he fell to the ground, from nowhere he didn’t had anymore energies to stand, his lips were dry as he closed his eyes slowly to begin the trip toward eternity...Yet again.
Great……

Just five seconds later he could hear faint footsteps, he couldn’t open his eyes anymore but he was still awake.

-“That’s…….Ka…daj… “- Said a woman, who sounded surprised.

-“Oi Tifa, he needs water! Quickly! …boy…boy! Stay with us! Oi! “- a red haired man shouted as he Held Kadaj.

Then everything became a deep silence, all went black and slowly the shadows took shape, now the only thing he had in mind was the happiest moment he had ever lived until now, he was kneeled, he was being hugged, the person holding him was covered in blood, but still he had that charm….Cloud…..

The blonde looked at the Albino with saddened eyes, as he started to vanish in the air….Cloud…Cloud…..Cloud, was all he could think of at that moment, they say that when you’re about to die you can see your whole life like a movie being played, but all that the teenager could saw at that moment was his present who was holding him in its arms, gentle and warm arms….Cloud….

You seemed so sad….sad to see me die...why? …you have this look I can’t describe, between anger and pain….

Even now…I still ask myself the same question…why? Didn’t you hate me? Or…..was I too selfish to notice?

But, it was your entire fault…why? If you cared why you didn’t even bothered to talk to me? To…know me?

You…. Were you confused? Or the feeling never existed at all, but if it didn’t….why do I get the feeling that you’re about to cry?

Tears that never reached surface… feelings that will never suffice; you told me all of it with that look.

But even if I was told that you never showed any kindness, that you have lost all that a long time ago, why….why am I the only one who can see that you’re suffering and that you’re about to break up.. ?

As the rain fell you seemed to do a failed attempt to say something, you opened your mouth and immediately stopped; it stayed within your lips, what a disappointment.

I wonder….what made me different? If only….if only ….you could just tell me.

I don’t know why I miss you…. And even worst….the guilty, where is it coming from? It was because I couldn’t stop my blade sooner?

No regrets….if he could die in the hands of that special person then there was nothing more he would ever wanted

For one last time he could saw those eyes he loved so much...Cloud...I….

Everything went silent again, he suddenly felt heat, and his face was hot! Then a cold wind snatched away the heat, leaving him normal again.

He could hear a brunette woman giggling like she knew the ending of a movie.

Kadaj finally opened his eyes, he was lying in a bed, he had a big blue sweater on, it was definitely not his size, he looked around still with his head on the pillow, the room was painted beige at his left he could saw a window with some dark blue curtains…he looked at his right, the room was simple, there was a lone chair on a corner, a wardrobe and what seemed like a desk, it had a picture on it… there were three people in there.

A woman, she seemed like the one who encountered Loz before, a brunette child...And the other one was…. No…he couldn’t see the last person, the reflection of the sun was making the photo blurry.

*~*~*~*~*Kadaj POV *~*~*~*~*

I desisted; I looked to the door near the desk, it was wide open, and saw a woman came in with a glass of what seemed cold water, at seeing me she dropped the glass widening her eyes.

-“Kadaj! …Oh! … What a mess… I’ll be back! Just don’t….I’ll be back! “ – she said taking the shards of glass and running downstairs

-“Huh? “ – I couldn’t say anything not that I had the chance to.

I haven’t noticed before but just near the bed was another lone chair, it was really close to the bed, then I realized something, the day was pretty hot; I was sweating like a pig.

I unzipped the sweater only to discover I had a white tank top under it, I checked under the sheets…I was wearing Red checked lounge pants, they were pretty worn and seemed old.
Where did they got all this clothes from? ... I wondered, I guessed I looked like a normal kid now….wait no I looked like a normal teenager, I hate being called kid!

The woman came into the room again with another glass of water, she seemed happy...to see me? That’s weird… Anyway she hasn’t changed that much, I remember her well, after all she was the woman who was with…. –“Cloud... “- slipped over my mind.

She made the chair that was close to the bed a little bit back and sit on it, leaving the glass of water on a pedestal table near the bed – “He’s not here right now… but don’t worry he’ll come later...” - she checked my temperature with a thermometer, I didn’t know what to say, I guess this was the most awkward moment I had in all my life….

She offered me the glass of water, I immediately took it, I was dying for a glass of water!

-“so…how are you feeling? “- she asked with a smile as she handed over some pills

- “What? …… “– I asked a bit confused.

- “You don’t remember do you? … We found in the outskirts of Midgard dehydrated, you almost died out there, you where lucky, we were on a car, just like another normal day, then we saw this flying soda can, we thought it was nothing but we spotted you lying on the ground, I recognized you immediately, no one could believe it, after all you vanished in Cloud arms. “– she explained with a proud tone.

I felt my cheeks blushing, and lowered my head so my hair would cover my face.

Great odds, thank you nee-san….. – “Huh….” – was all I said as I looked over the window.

- “why…why did you rescue me? ...you just could have left me for death there. “- said Kadaj as he turned to look toward the woman.

- “Don’t be silly...Why would we left you there? “ – She said rather cheerfully.

- “Well...I tried to kill you all for starters… and...I. “– he couldn’t finish his sentence when someone interrupted the conversation.

- “What?! We saved your ass and that’s all we get…. I tried to kill you” – he mimicked

–“Grow up boy! “– he said rather annoyed.

- “Reno?! Not now! “– shouted the woman.

-“But Tifa…can’t you see it? He obviously does not want our help… even when we had to endure his dreams about Cloud! “– he said smiling sarcastically.

-“What? “ - shouted Kadaj his face red as a tomato, then the man smiled again sarcastically of course.

-“ Oh, yes…you know…save me Cloud, Cloud…..Cloud…Cloud, Nii-san…..G…O…L…D…I…E “ he said mimicking again.

*~*~*~*~*Kadaj POV *~*~*~*~*
I was wrong; this was my most awkward moment ever! , I widened my eyes unable to say something; suddenly the woman stood up and kicked the red haired guy in the stomach making him a few steps back, she seemed rather pissed off.

- “Reno! Who is at the cash register downstairs?! GO! “– she shouted.
- “Y…yes sir…err...I mean...Yes ma’an …I mean madam..err… “ –
- GO ¡- she shouted before he even finished talking.
The red haired got out of the room running and seemed to fall of the stairs, she sighted as she sat down.
- “ sorry about him, he’s just annoyed that he has double shift today, oh yeah, he works here now, after all that commotion last month, he quit his old job and had nowhere to go “ –
- “Oh... “– was all I said not that I care either…. - “wait…last month?!...Sephiroth and Cloud battled last month?! “– I was surprised, I thought it was yesterday…how is that possible?

- “Yes, today is officially one month; you’ve been unconscious around “– she seemed to mentally count. – “one week… “ –

I nodded, even If my face didn’t show any change I was so perturbed in the inside, one month….. I wonder…. – “Where’s Cloud? “ – slipped over my mind again.
She smiled. – “He’s working right now… he might be back tonight or maybe tomorrow. “ - She giggled a bit. – “You seen to remember Cloud very well. “ –
I nodded and felt my cheeks go red. Nee-chan! This is the most awkward day of my life!
She stood up. – “Well, I should check on Reno, he tends to fall asleep on the counter, you’re okay? You don’t need anything? “ –
I nodded and saw as she walked out, just seconds later I could hear her shouting.
- “Reno, sleeping again at work?! – I smiled, this place wasn’t all that bad compared to the abandoned station I was. “ –
I saw the chair near the bed and I guess it was intuition? But...I felt like something important happened there, in that lone chair.
I turned to look at the window, trying to imagine Nii-san… will he had changed? Is he taller? ... Maybe not…..it was just one month after all.
Slowly my eyes closed and everything became dark again.

It was already 9 o’clock; Tifa was inside Seventh heaven, cleaning the tables and Reno outside with Denzel cleaning the entrance, they seemed to be having fun as Denzel got Reno wet with the firehose.

-“Don’t play with water this late, you’ll get sick “– stated Tifa who stepped outside whipping her hands with a towel.

- “Yes, Tifa. “ – said Denzel as he ran inside.

_ “Yo wait, you’re not getting out of this one! “ Reno laughed as he went after Denzel.

Tifa sighted as she saw them both having fun, Reno might be a terrible worker but at least Denzel is happy, in fact happier than ever… Tifa smiled.

Suddenly a motorcycle parked outside seventh heaven, tifa smiled. – “Cloud….welcome back. “ –

The blonde-Teal eyed seemed distracted as he nodded. – “I’m back. “ – He seemed rather disappointed.

Marlene who was at one of tables doing homework looked at Cloud, her face brightened up.

– “Cloud, you’re back! “ – At hearing this Denzel also ran from his room. – “Cloud, welcome back! “ – He hugged the blonde as well as Marlene.

Reno who had a towel in his head rested against a wall. –“Yo, welcome back, Goldie. “– he contained a hysterical laugh.

At hearing this Tifa gave a bad look at him, Reno shrugged and turned going to take a bath.
Cloud who didn’t knew how to hug two children raised both of them, one on each arm, they both laughed before jumping back at the floor going back to their own business.

-“Goldie..?” – asked Cloud to Tifa rather confused.

-“It’s nothing probably some nickname he came up with… “– she lied.

-“Cloud! Ask me anything about math, I already learned it! “– Marlene shouted rather cheerfully.

-“Hmm…” – Cloud thought for a moment. – “2 plus 3 minus 5 plus 10 divided by 2? “– he asked hopping the brunette studied well.

-“That’s easy! It’s five! “– she shouted.
- “Good, tomorrow will be Capitals and Countries ok? “ – He asked to what she nodded.

-“How was work? “ – asked Tifa as she made her way back to the cash register by the time she noticed Cloud was already gone, she sighted, knowing that Cloud wasn’t very happy.


*~*~*~*~*Kadaj POV *~*~*~*~*

I was tired, ill and sweating, I hated being ill…something woke me up yet I couldn’t identify the cause, I just heard the bell of the door like someone came inside, that’s all, I really didn’t wanted to move, my whole body was in pain, shit….I guess this is just like the hangover thing that Loz told me about once.

I was facing the window so I couldn’t see the door at all, the light coming from outside just bothered me, then I could hear someone came in, the steps were slow, yet he or she seemed to carry something heavy as it was left on the floor….Maybe that’s what the lone chair on the corner of the room was for?

The steps stopped and I could hear the chair been pulled at the same time it got really close to the bed like the first time I saw it, if felt as if something heavy rested against the bed near my feet.

A single -“I’m sorry….” - was heard throughout the room, I widened my eyes, I knew this voice very well, I was shocked, I couldn’t breathe, something pressed against my chess, my heartbeat accelerated.

Should I say something…no…probably he thinks I’m asleep, why the hell is he apologizing?! He has no need to apologize!

I felt a little bit sad; I couldn’t understand it, why?

-“I shouldn’t …. I shouldn’t have returned to work so early… and to think I was watching over you 24 hours the seven days… and just the day I return to work, just the day I left you alone …Tifa calls me…he awoke she said, I’m sorry “– he sounded rather sad, at this time I didn’t know what to think, nor what to feel….

You were talking so low that I almost couldn’t hear you, were you talking to me? Were you talking to yourself? …I don’t get you…

But…I felt happy, you were with me the whole time?

-“Heh…what am I saying, luckily you’re asleep, maybe tomorrow we can talk… “– I could hear the chair been pulled and the weight in the bed lightened.

I closed my eyes tight. Nee-Chan…what should I do? I want to talk to him… I’m just not brave enough? I don’t want him to go!

-“CLOUD! “ - I shouted, I had managed in one second just to turn and sit even with this body so screwed up, my face was red, and I guessed my face had the look of an annoyed and bad behaved child.

Why do you torture me like this Nee-san!?!, you must be laughing to hell in heaven.

Cloud was still there, I didn’t knew if it was by the fact that I just shouted or the fact that I was awake that had shocked him, he had eyes wide open like seeing a ghost.

I couldn’t stop now; I was too embarrassed to stop now. – “WHY THE HELL ARE YOU APOLOGIZING FOR? I’M NOT A KID I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF! “–that was it, now ladies and gentlemen comes the most stupid thing I could ever do; I hid with anger under the blankets.

Nee-san please sends me back to heaven!! 7 seconds passed, for me they seemed like 7 hours and finally Cloud moved I could hear every step he took like daggers going through my skin.

I closed my eyes hoping what I just did was only a dream, and then I felt his hands trying to get the blankets out of the way. – “If you’re not a kid then why are you hiding? “ – He asked with rather a serious tone.

Then when I was about to jump out of bed and start yelling again I saw your face, you were smiling, I saw as the blankets came off in slow mode revealing your smile.

Why are you smiling I just yelled you, is it because… you’re glad I’m fine?

I turned again unable to look at him in the eyes watching the window, I was happy….

-“Because… you make me mad, there is nothing to apologize for. “ –

Cloud, you…..make me happy.

Caught in the middle of a crossfire
Lost my balance on the high wire
Trying to figure out what to do

Pushed to the edge of my reason
Everywhere around me is treason
I don't want to do that to you

Kamikaze airplanes in the sky
Are we going down or will we fly
This could be a shipwreck on the shore
We could sail away forever more

This time it's sink or swim

Cloud came up with a glass of water after taking my temperature, he hadn’t talked in the whole time yet it felt…good…comfortable, I also didn’t knew what to say.

-“Here take them “– he gave me some pills, Cloud smiled, the disappointment on his face seemed to have vanished.

I took them and swallowed them with the water; Cloud stood up and pulled the sheets.

–“Now sleep. “– he smiled.

-“But…. “– I replied, my eyelids began to feel heavy, I was beginning to feel much better, yet I was tired, damn…

-“Shhh, we’ll talk in the morning ok? Sleep “– he whispered.

As I closed my eyes and saw Cloud walking away I smiled, now…something changed, the happiest day of my life was now, knowing that I could wake up tomorrow and he will be here, waiting……….. For me.

After all why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?

Hello there, I know I haven't posted again to this topic when you guys really gave me inspiration, now I'm not the best at English since I'm not exactly American but In a few I'll remake this FF and take ti from there ( Got new account and everything ) Hope you guys still want to read it xD
