Baccano!

Well Yaoi-Haven members i have just finished watching an interesting Anime called Baccano!
it was just released in AUS as a box set (it was released into Volumes about 4 months ago)
and i must say i was left with a OMG face it was amazing, not only was the dubbing good, it had great voice actors and the plot was mysterious and most eps left in a cliff hanger.

I loved all the characters but loved one particular character more:
His name is Ladd Russo i hope you all enjoy a little info on him and this awesome video clip i found!
but please feel free to discuss anything about this anime here and add pics and vid and tell me ur thoughts on this anime as well as ur fave character or couple?

LADD RUSSO:
Ladd is a sadistic hitman for the Russo family. His love for acts of violence shows in the maniacal glee he exhibits while fighting or killing. He is exceptionally skilled in hand-to-hand combat—particularly boxing—and the use of firearms. Ladd is deeply in love with his fiancée, Lua, although he expresses it through a promise to kill her someday. Despite pleading not guilty on grounds of self defense (the only non-criminal on the train was killed by Dune, one of his accomplices), Ladd is thrown into Alcatraz prison for murder of many of the deceased on board the Flying Pussyfoot.

Wow! I have to watch this now... If only for Ladd. And i saw his wife. Omg she findes pleasure in the thought that he will kill her one day. She is so MASOCHIST! No wonder hes so maddly in love.

I have heard about it because I'm obsessed with another anime/light novels from the same author - Durarara... But I really have no idea what the plot is about... *goes to find out*

Ah, I love Baccano. In fact, I have owned the box set for a while now. It really shows an interesting perspective on how the Japanese viewed Americans in the 1940's, using mafias, gangs, violence, jazz, and more to express this. Along with this, they added the concept of immortality. And the character designs and personalities are just wonderful.

Baccano is one of my personal favorites =). My two favorite characters are Jacuzzi and Firo.

Sounds like fun, though ^.^ And I looove the dub work! Best one I`ve heard! probably because I avoid the dub like the plague Thanx for sharing... I think I know someone that's gonna be blackmailed into watching it *looks around*
