...a second person point of view fic that we can agree on?...
-----
You slowly rise from the foggy depths of your dreams, the beeping of your alarm clock pulling you from the surreal realms. Groaning, you reach over to turn off the noisy contraption -- it's only 6 in the morning.
Rolling onto your back, you stare at the blurry ceiling, your mind and eyes still muddled from the last dregs of sleep. But you are awake enough as you think about the coming day, dreading what awaits you.
You finally pull yourself up and out of bed. Wearily you brush your teeth and eat breakfast -- you never seem to get enough sleep anymore. Reality has entered your dreams -- unfortunately, reality is a bleak landscape that haunts even your unconscious mind now.
You drive to school and park your car far away from the main entrance, but you know what will happen to it by the end of the day, and you sigh. Steeling yourself, you hold your head high as you walk towards the entrance, through the hallways, to your class. All around you are whispers and ill sidelong glances as you walk past the huddled masses -- they create a fog of gloom that you have to fight off. That you have to fight off, or else you will have nothing left.
But you finally reach your sanctuary -- and you sigh in relief as you close the door. Smiling as you turn around, you watch as the teacher returns your look, warmth spreading across that familiar face.
Loved -- that is what you feel. And you are loved, you think as you walk into those beloved arms. You don't care what everyone else thinks, what everyone else says. They can mention rude things about your sexuality or how you are whoring yourself for better grades -- but you don't care. At least the one you love knows the truth.
No barriers will separate you from your soul mate -- not gender or the unspoken rules of society (who said students can't date their teachers?). Because you have found each other, and now you are together.
As one.
