It's a College Life for Us

I've had multiple discussions about everything college with a few people here on YH, so I figured why not make a thread for it?

Alright! So a few weeks ago I wrapped up my first semester of college and I'm eagerly awaiting my second semester. Finally, I'll be taking more classes to go towards my major. Creative writing, psychology, finally learn Japanese. <3

So my plots for a discussion is this, YH. Are you in college? Do you plan on going to college? What is your major? Where do you want to go? What classes do you want to take?

I plan on double majoring in English Literature and Psychology, although I'm not sure what University I'm going to go to yet. Probably something out of California if I can.

So, everyone, discuss college!

Also, feel free to ask questions about different classes and what not. I'm sure some of us will be able to answer, or at least try to help out.

I hate college. T.T I wanna drop out but then I'd be murdered. I'm in the art institute in the media art and animation program.

Intro to video, intro to audio, Mythology and Anthropology were my fav classes because I had awesome teacher! Everything else kinda sucks.

Why do you hate college? o_o; What's your major?

Anthropology. <3 I loved that course. I took Cultural Anthro and my teacher was kick ass. xD I miss her class.

Double Major in Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising and if that doesn't go as planned then just Graphic Designing.

So far school is interesting but it's alot of work when you have to constantly keep up. I had Monday-Saturday school so you can imagine how crazy that was; I hardly slept at all. But it was my fault thinking I could handle both my major and G.E. And luckily all my teachers are lenient. >.>;

Three awsome things happened while I was taking my Fashion classes: I went to a Japanese Fashion lecture event, a teacher took us to the school closet full of clothes that were donated and made by former designers/designer and training students, and lastly a graduate from my school who currently made outfits for Lady Gaga had visit our class.

I was invited to go a upcoming fashion show but I'm not sure if the offer is still open. :/

I'm taking History and learning alot. My teacher speaks his mind, which is a good thing and sometimes isn't, it's fun though. LOL.

Looking forward to next semester.

The Art Institute, really? What did you have to do to get in? I always wanted to go but since it's about 24G I went against it. I heard Financial Aid doesn't cover it all and I'll be damned to use loans.

i just turned senior 4 months ago.
i'm in the medical/surgical field but my heart isn't in it.
i regret that choice. Next few months , if i don't get into Forensics job i plan to study Animation in japan once i get out.

i dislike my college years. it's boring. it's hectic. paperworks and no-sleep kills me slowly. (>_<)

i regret that choice. Next few months , if i don't get into Forensics job i plan to study Animation in japan once i get out.

i dislike my college years. it's boring. it's hectic. paperworks and no-sleep kills me slowly. (>_<)

I thought of getting into the medical field... Probably as a pathologist if I did so. Working on dead bodies seems easier than living people. LOL But I didn't want to be in school for that long.

But are you asking about college or university? Because it is different... I'm already in university... International Business and Management ~ I like my major, but it is a bit too wide... I want something more focused on marketing so I'm going to take my minor in marketing Yes I know I'm a freak for liking economical stuff but I've been studying it for 6 years already so it's kind of pointless to change And I've taken a liking to some subjects~

Economics sound so... hard and boring. xD I've never been able to understand them.

OOh there are boring parts like, finance or accounting but Marketing is all about creativity~ lol you have to devise new ways to lie to people to buy the product And you also need a lot of art and graphic design knowledge in the marketing area~ It's the most interesting part because it makes you think outside the box and I love that~~

But yeah...It's a lot of numbers...
