Anime/Manga that changed my life :)

So dear YH community, let me ask you, what is the anime or manga that changed your life, in any possible way, and how.... (I apologize if someone already posted such thread)

    So let's start with me

The anime that changed my life was Neon Genesis Evangelion, and especially the finishing movie End of Evangelion. It boosted my self esteem, and completely changed the way of how I look at things, I'm much more tolerant now than before. It made me see that success and affirmation is not the only option in life ^^ and that even when we fail, there is still tomorrow and different options and ways to success... I will always remember the 26 episode last quote: and to all children, congratulations... I felt like the director himself said that, I think it's kind of a hidden message, saying "if you really know now what I was intending to say, congratulations" and I really think I do understand

Hmm...I'll say the anime that changed my life the most was Clannad. Its one of the most inspirational animes out there and it really taught me how to forgive. There was a character in the show who didn't know how to forgive his father and as he grew older he realized that he was the same kind of man his father was. He learned that hatred was holding him back and causing him to miss out on lifes many gifts. I don't know...i just hit home with me because i had some personal issues with forgiving people so it just helped me grow as a person. =D

Beck, it is a coming of age anime that really speaks to me. It's the only anime that I can actually relate to the struggles and emotions of the characters.
Roses are red, violets are blue
That's what they say, but it just isn't true
Roses are red, and apples are, too
But violets are violet, violets aren't blue
An orange is orange, but Greenland's not green
A pinky's not pink, so what does it mean?
To call something blue when it's not, we defile it
But what the heck, it's hard to rhyme violet.
    quotes to live by:

Guns don't kill people bullets do- me

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe- Einstein

A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself- Josh Billings

Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before- Mae West

If the truth hurts then you just got shot! - Overheard once

All of the anime and manga changed my life. They are all so good, and such anime change my view on life. I usually cry and put off the ending for a while until I am ready to watch it.

One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: That word is love.

I think first it was Akira, Battle Royale, Nausicaa, End of Evangelion and possibly even more so Evangelion 2.0, the remake, as well as Ghost in the Shell which draws on the Catcher in the Rye. But the book that changed my life the most was 1984. When I finished reading these works of art, i couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. As if I'd grown just by taking their wisdom in. They challenged some of my preconceptions and dared me to think differently. When the end came, it didn't matter whether the hero got their happy end. All had been said and done.

Each time someone says that their lives were influenced by Evangelion, or just that they watched Evangelion,... I have a big big smile on my face, from one ear to the other
